BGCOPPER Craftsmanship
Our Story

Carved in Faith.
Worn in Devotion.

— Matthew 28:19 —
Where It Began

A Mission Born from the Great Commission

BGCOPPER began not as a business plan, but as a calling. We were moved by Pope St. John Paul II's invitation to every Christian to participate in the New Evangelization — to carry the Gospel not only in words, but in the objects we place in our homes, wear around our necks, and give to the people we love most.

We asked ourselves a simple question: What if a cross necklace could open a conversation about faith? What if a wood carving on the wall could anchor a family's prayer life for generations? That question became BGCOPPER.

Every piece we create is our answer to the Great Commission. We go — through craftsmanship, through beauty, through the hands of faithful families across America — and we make disciples, one sacred object at a time.

The Workshop

Twenty Steps to One Sacred Object

Our crafting process is long and intentional. From the first sketch and 3D modeling, through the selection of raw timber, to wax casting, hand-finishing, and final quality inspection — each piece passes through more than twenty pairs of hands before it reaches yours.

We do not rush. We believe that the care poured into each piece is itself an act of worship. A cross that took weeks to make carries a different weight than one pressed out in seconds. That weight is what you feel when you hold it.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."
Matthew 28:19–20
What We Stand For

Three Pillars of Everything We Make

Faith First

Every design begins with theology, not trend. We ask what a piece means before we ask what it looks like. Our products are not decorations — they are declarations of belief.

🪵

Honest Craft

We use only natural solid wood — beechwood, ash, and boxwood — chosen for their density, grain beauty, and longevity. No shortcuts. No imitations. What you see is what was grown by God and shaped by human hands.

🙏

Lasting Meaning

We design for heirlooms, not impulse purchases. A BGCOPPER piece should still be on your grandchildren's wall. That is the standard we hold ourselves to with every cut, every finish, every piece we ship.

How It's Made

From Raw Timber to Sacred Heirloom

We believe transparency is part of integrity. Here is how every BGCOPPER piece comes to life:

Theological Design

Each piece begins with a question: what story does this object tell? Our design team researches the iconographic tradition, the scriptural foundation, and the devotional purpose before a single line is drawn. A St. Benedict medal is not just a coin — it is a centuries-old prayer in metal form.

3D Modeling & Prototype

Once the design is approved theologically and aesthetically, we build a precise 3D digital model. This allows us to review every relief, every depth of carving, every proportion — before any material is touched. The prototype is reviewed multiple times and often revised.

Timber Selection

We source only premium-grade natural hardwood. Each plank is inspected for grain consistency, moisture content, and structural integrity. Wood with knots or inconsistencies in critical areas is set aside. This step alone eliminates a significant portion of raw material — and we consider that a cost worth bearing.

Carving & Hand-Finishing

CNC precision carving establishes the primary relief. Then skilled artisans take over — deepening shadows, refining edges, and adding the subtle texture that no machine can replicate. The final surface treatment, whether natural oil, antique patina, or hand-painted highlight, is applied entirely by hand.

Quality Inspection & Packaging

Every finished piece is inspected against our quality standard before packaging. Items that do not meet the standard are not shipped — they are reworked or discarded. We then pack each piece with care, because the unboxing moment is part of the gift experience.

Our Materials

Only the Best, Because Faith Deserves It

The materials we choose are not incidental. They are part of the message. Here is what goes into our pieces and why:

Premium Hardwoods

Our wood carving collection draws from several of the world’s finest hardwoods, each chosen for its character and longevity. Beechwood is dense and fine-grained, holding the sharpest relief details without warping or cracking over decades — the quiet workhorse of our collection. Ash wood brings bold, open grain and natural strength; no two ash pieces ever look the same, a reminder that God makes nothing identical. Boxwood, the most precious of the three, is reserved for our most intricate statuary — its extraordinary density allows carvers to achieve a level of fine detail that softer woods simply cannot hold. All three are genuine solid hardwood, never veneer, never composite.

Why Wood Matters

Wood is not merely a material — it is a theological choice. It grows slowly, shaped by seasons of sun and rain. It bears the marks of its history in its grain. It is warm to the touch in a way that metal and stone are not. When you hang a wood carving in your home, you are placing something that was once alive, something that grew under God’s sky, into the center of your sacred space. That is a meaning no synthetic material can replicate.

Sacred Metals & Stones

Our jewelry collection draws from a range of carefully chosen materials, each selected for both its physical quality and its spiritual resonance. Zinc alloy allows us to render intricate iconographic detail — the thorns of a crown, the folds of a robe — with a precision and durability that endures daily wear. Copper carries centuries of devotional tradition; its warmth and weight give each piece a tangible sense of substance and age. Stainless steel is chosen for pieces meant to be worn without compromise — water-resistant, tarnish-proof, and built for the faithful who never take their cross off. And where we use natural turquoise, it is set by hand — a stone long carried as a symbol of heavenly peace, chosen not for trend but for meaning.

S925K Sterling Silver

The majority of our jewelry collection is crafted in S925K sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, the standard of fine jewelry. Silver has carried sacred meaning throughout Christian tradition: it is the metal of light, of purity, of the moon that reflects the sun. We choose it because it does not merely look beautiful — it endures. Properly cared for, a sterling silver piece from BGCOPPER will still carry its meaning decades from now, passed from one faithful hand to the next.

Our Mission

We Are Not Just Selling. We Are Sending.

Every order that leaves our workshop is a small act of evangelization. A BGCOPPER cross on someone's wall is a conversation waiting to happen. A necklace worn to work is a quiet testimony. A wood carving given as a gift is a prayer made tangible.

We know that God gave us this business to further His kingdom. That is not a marketing line — it is the reason we get up every morning and take every step of our craft seriously. We are grateful for every customer who trusts us to be part of their faith life.

We are BGCOPPER. And we are honored to walk this road with you.
